Oranges in Italy.

In this period of time, I think on February (orange period), Italy celebrates the Orange festival.
What they do it’s just to sell oranges at a low price so that the people can buy a lot of quantities, then they gather all of them on the streets and get ready for the Orange fight.

In one side you can say they are crazy people , I mean I won’t like to get several oranges hitting my face, it must be hurtful!!! But at the same time they say it’s a way to have fun and get out from the usual routine of life.

In the old days I have been told that they were using beans, more hurtful Awwwshhhhhhh.

I still don’t know how they have created this festival, if I let my imagination go back to the past I think it was just a person (lets call him person A) who was so so so board and had a lot of oranges.

The person A was thinking: Well… what will happen if I throw up an orange on that person (which is person B)???? The problem was that the person B was in the same situation! He was thinking like person A, so they made a fight with their oranges which the neighbour did participate in.

Now I will let your imagination continue by your own selves!!!!!!

I Hope you will enjoy these pic’s
Note: on one of the Pics the man isn’t bleeding, it was just a red orange.

A morning Flower

Do you like flowers? Well these are few of them.

This morning 21/02/2007 the office driver came back from the desert – He was in a mission to take 2 of our administrators to Gialo (جالو) were we have our base in there. They went to make sure that all our papers were legally done.

Any way this driver came with 3 fresh red roses and one of the roses was for me.
I was so happy as if I was a child and I have been given a toy.

I think its something nice to start a day with a rose, hope one day you will get a chance to have one.

Take care all.

"The hippo is a young baby, he was left at a very tender age and by nature, hippos are social animals that like to stay with their mothers for four years," he explained.

This is a real story that shows that our differences don't matter much when we need the comfort of another. We could all learn a lesson from these two wonderful creatures. Look beyond the differences and find a way to walk the path together.

"After it was swept and lost its mother, the hippo was traumatized. It had to look for something to be a surrogate mother. Fortunately, it landed on the tortoise and established a strong bond. They swim, eat and sleep together," the ecologist added. "The hippo follows the tortoise exactly the way it follows its mother. If somebody approaches the tortoise, the hippo becomes aggressive, as if protecting its biological mother," Kahumbu added.

This is such a neat story

NAIROBI (AFP) - A baby hippopotamus that survived the tsunami waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise, in an animal facility in the port city of Mombassa, officials said. The hippopotamus, nicknamed Owen and weighing about 300 kilograms (650 pounds), was swept down Sabaki River into the Indian Ocean, then forced back to shore when tsunami waves struck the Kenyan coast on December 26, 2004 before wildlife rangers rescued him.

"It is incredible. A-less-than-a-year-old hippo has adopted a male tortoise, about a century old, and the tortoise seems to be very happy with being a 'mother'," ecologist Paula Kahumbu, who is in charge of Lafarge Park, told AFP.

Introducing my self

Introducing my self

Hi all,
I just created this Blog and hope I will have enough time to post few things that might be interesting for you or just boring lol. But any way I’m sure when I’m in a good mood and have time I will be sending you nice and interesting articles.

About me,

I’m Libyan and I live temporary (God knows until when) in Tripoli since 2004 (Due to work) but normally I live in Benghazi.
I can tell before coming to Tripoli I wasn’t aware that it was that developed in here, I mean most of us do not know a lot about cities in Libya! But it was a kind of surprise to see how mush we are different.
Now I do understand when some one says that Benghazi is a dead city, but still Benghazi’s character and people are mush nicer, calmer and generous than here in Tripoli. Any way each of us has (his or her) own point of view! Am I right lol.

Well this is just a brief part of my life. Hope you liked it.
